I wouldn't claim to be a photographer, but I've taken a few images that look like I know what I'm doing (and several thousand images which show that I don't). A very small number are from California, and the flight from there to Texas, but the great majority are from Scotland, mostly from the area surrounding my home in Stirling.

Additionally, larger and more screen-background worthy images are now kept at a separate location, the new backgrounds page.

The following are a few images I took in late March 2004 of some farm workers burning stubble (don't they usually do that in the Autumn?).

These are some photos of the same approximate area (both are quite near Gargunnock) but on a particularly frosty day the winter before. In a couple of the frosty ones are unhappy looking little greyish lumps - yes, those are sheep, and no, they weren't happily frolicking that day.

Textures

I really don't know why these are featured here, but people complained when I tried to take them down. I suppose they might be of use to folks making textures for computer graphics or 3d computer gaming, although they really should be square for such applications (and I probably should have prepared heightmaps for them too, which I haven't). As with everything else, your opinions are most welcome (at the email address above).

The majority of these photos were taken the area around my home in Stirling, in Central Scotland. A few were taken on the windswept but lovely island of Islay, and a few more in the Highlands.
